Peggy Mays West, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014.  She was a 1958 graduate of Russell High School.  She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Nathan West of Fayetteville; daughter Tammy and Rhett Weaver of Clarkesville; son Jimmy and Shelley West of Sharpsburg; daughter Jenny and Doug Bass of McDonough; grandchildren Kris and Audrey Weaver, Lisa and Patrick O'Shea, Leslie Weaver, Katie Weaver, Christian Turner, Drake Turner, Emma West, Drew Lawrence, and Gus Lawrence; great-granddaughters Ellie and Lucy Weaver; 4 sisters; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Tom.  A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 20, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Flat Creek Baptist Church, Fayetteville.  Reverend Jerry Cross will officiate.  The family will receive friends Sunday at the church following the service.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations to Fayette County Humane Society, P.
