Joe was born in Atlanta, Ga on May 5, 1940. He lived the majority of his life in East Point, Ga. He was a faithful member, Deacon and Elder of Westside Christian Church, and taught the high school Sunday School class for over ten years. He was later a member of East Point Christian, and Peachtree City Christian Church.

Joe was the owner and operator of Pet's World for over 30 years and in the pet business for over 63 years. He never retired and was working at the pet shop up until the day before he went into the hospital. He had many faithful patrons who had been coming to the store since they were kids, and continued as grown-ups bringing their own children. Everyone loved "Mr. Joe, and Mama."

Throughout his life he loved woodworking, taxidermy, coin collecting, and cutting his beloved opals! He loved to go to the Varsity and Fresh-Air Barbecue, and went to every Russell High School gathering and reunion he could, and every family event and party! He was so loved by his family and will be greatly missed!

Safety protocols will be place, including social distancing as needed.
