Janis Higgins Doty of Atlanta passed away on December 30, 2005. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel with Rev. Neal Kuhlhorst officiating. Private family burial to follow. Jan was born on June 25, 1940 ,  and was a native of Atlanta. She graduated from Russell High School. Surviving are her three children, Rick, Jennifer and Debbie; six grandchildren; her dear friend, Annie Joe Malcolm and Mr. Marvin Myers. A loving mother, she was a great Southern cook, who loved to entertain. She was a gifted designer and entrepreneur. Everyone appreciated her sense of humor. She was a member of Peachtree Corners Baptist Church and was a board member of the Georgia Veterans Day Parade Association. The family will receive friends Wednesday 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory Duluth Chapel 770-476-2535. Published in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on
