February 4, 1940 - February 28, 2010

James Hembree

James M. Hembree, 70 of Conyers, GA, died on February 28, 2010. He was in the fellowship of Maysville Baptist Church, and formerly Conyers First Baptist Church. Over his accomplished career as a business manager, he served Adams-Cates Co., Heery and Heery Engineers, John Portman and Associates and Imaging Technologies. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed the outdoors. James is preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Hembree, who passed on December 2, 1979. He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. Hembree, of Conyers; children, Shelley (Phil) Heslep, of Lawrence, Pat (Jennifer) Hembree, of Jonesboro, Pam (Thornton) Hopkins, Lawrenceville; step-children, Scott (Hong) Rainwater, Alpharetta and Tracie Reichel, of Maysville; 8 grandchildren; his mother, Audrey W. Hembree, of Roswell; brother, Hal (Debbie) Hembree, of Roswell; sister, Sandra (Lee) Dennis, of Conyers; and former wife, Carol M. Hembree of Lawrenceville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Maysville Baptist Church Missions Fund, PO Box 329, Maysville, GA, 30558. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 6 - 8 P.M. and the funeral service will be Thursday, March 4, at 10 A.M.
