Collette Fuller Dodd
March 22, 1940 - April 18, 2011
Collette Fuller Dodd, beloved mother, grandmother, soul mate and friend, passed from this life on April 18, 2011. She was born 71 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia to Joseph Duke Fuller and Ethel Claudine Carter on March 22, 1940. Collette raised her two daughters in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Kimberly Dodd, her husband John Sarchio, and their children Jenna Fuller Sarchio and Tucker Dodd Sarchio, now reside in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Jenny Dodd Heinrich, her husband Tas Heinrich, and their children Georgia Collette Hamer, Emily Carolyn Heinrich and Brent Heinrich make their home in the San Francisco Bay area. In her middle life, Collette moved to Spokane, Washington to be close to her west coast family and developed many close and loving relationships. She returned to Florida to share her life with Neil Gray and her east coast family and friends. Collette was at home on both coasts, near the people and natural world she loved. Her accepting presence, her gentle spirit and creative force will continue to bless all who knew and loved her. A celebration of the life Collette created will be held at St. George Episcopal Church on Fort George Island, Jacksonville, Florida on Tuesday, April 26th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorial donations be made to the Friends of the Guana Tolomato Matanzas Research Preserve Guana River Rd., Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. 32082 or by telephone 904 823-4527, a place where Collette often joined the abundant wildlife at peace in her kayak.
