Russell High School

The year book says that my ambition was to cruise the Caribbean with Mary Ellen Burtz in my 50' yacht. I haven't seen Mary Ellen since graduation but my wife Keri and I can occasionally be seen cruising Lake Burton in our vintage Chris Craft.

Keri and I have been married since 1972. She is Director of Evangelization for the Archdiocese of Atlanta but she is best known as Grams to our Grandchildren.

Attending Russell High and living in East Point was great. When I started there in '53 as an 8th grader I had already attended 10 different schools and had lived in many places. At Russell I got to know many of you well enough to call you friends. What great memories. I am always so glad to see so many of you at the reunions. After my freshman year at North Georgia College I studied art at Georgia State College. In 1962 I started a studio doing Graphic Design and Illustrations for Architects and the Commercial Real Estate Industry. Retirement is years away so I am still at it. I spend about a third of my time working on re-developing and re-neighboring urban neighborhoods here in Atlanta with FCS Urban Ministries, a third of my time raising 4 Grandchildren and the remaining few hours working.
